The Malteses Ministry for Social Policy and the Family has launched the public consultation on the National Financial Capability Strategy 2026-2031 and Malta’s new Debt Advice Service, during the Building Financial Resilience event held on 3rd September 2026.

European perspectives were provided by the President of the ECDN Dr. Dieter Korczak and Gwen Harris (Money Advice and Budgeting Service/ Ireland).

Flusi Malta is a free, impartial, and confidential debt advice service. It is operated through the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS). The staff has completed a specialized MQF Level 5 Undergraduate Certificate in Debt Advisory developed with MCAST, the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, the country’s leading vocational education and training institution.
