Money Matters, September 2000 – February 6th 2020

It’s once again time for a #ThrowbackThursday. This weeks issue starts with a detailed account about consumer bankruptcy procedures and requirements in Germany; did you know that in order to initiate a bankruptcy, the consumers needed to be overindebted, and to have received help from a debt counsellor trying to make repayment agreement, and only if the negotiations with the creditors fail, you could file for bankruptcy.

In this issue you can also read about the results of a survey performed by members of the CDN from England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The results show a detailed picture on who the debtors are, whether they own property, how much the owe, how many creditors they have and why they ended in a situation with payment difficulties.
